Closed loop piezo nanopositioning system for beam steering. Single and two axis models with up to 10 milliradians of motion per axis. The Nano-MTA has nanoradian resolution and high stability performance ideal for extreme metrology applications.

The Nano-MTA Series are single axis and two axis piezo nanopositioning mirror tip/tilt actuators. With nanoradian resolution, the Nano-MTA Series is ideal for applications involving laser beam steering, tracking, and scanning. Internal position sensors utilizing proprietary PicoQ® technology provide absolute, repeatable position measurement under closed loop control. The Nano-MTA Series is compatible with the Nano-Drive® controller which provides sensor electronics, proportional integral feedback control, and 150V amplifiers.

The Nano-MTA series is capable of high speed, high stability motion. The Nano-MTA2 has been implemented in the Advanced LIGO system as part of their auxiliary optics subsystem. The Nano-MTA2 is the lowest position noise beam steering system available.
