OZ Optics Ltd. to Acquire YY Labs Inc.

Feb. 5, 2019

OZ Optics Limited, a world leading supplier of fiber optic products for existing and next-generation optical networks, is set to acquire YY Labs Inc., an advanced technology firm located in Fremont, California. Incorporated in 1997, the company’s mission is to develop, manufacture, market, and sell optical components, modules, and instruments for testing and measuring electrical and optical signals.

"OZ Optics and YY labs have worked closely together for over a decade" stated OZ Optics CEO Ömür Sezerman. "We feel that their product line of modulator bias controllers are second-to-none in the industry, while their test equipment complements our own product line, particularly their Handheld Optical Spectrometer, their Optical Signal Noise Generator, and their Super Fast Response Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier".

YY Labs owner Yan Yin also shared her satisfaction with the agreement. "OZ Optics' engineering team, manufacturing facilities, and marketing strengths will allow us to reach out and supply a much larger audience. This will ensure our growth moving forward."
