Strongly Growing TOPTICA expands Management Team

From Oct 1st 2018, Dr. Thomas Renner, VP Sales & Marketing since 2005, will join the Vorstand of TOPTICA Photonics AG, which expands from 2 to 3 members. Next to the company founders Dr. Wilhelm Kaenders (Technology) and Dr. Thomas Weber (Operations & Finance) Dr. Renner will become responsible for sales, marketing and product management, and will focus on the expansion of the global activities of the group. Thomas Renner is – like his colleagues ¬– a laser physicist, who has spent his entire career in the laser industry, having deep experience in research, product management and the creation of a successful sales organizations.

Wilhelm Kaenders welcomes Thomas Renner: “The TOPTICA brand as it is perceived globally today and the constant growth is the result of Thomas’s successful engagement over the many years that we have worked together.” Thomas Weber adds: “With his experience Thomas started a professionalization of our sales and marketing and I am happy, that as our team member he has the task to further grow the company.”

Thomas Renner looks into the new position with full excitement: “The special TOPTICA spirit and the exciting technology mix have always enthused me. I am looking forward to working with Wilhelm & Thomas and the entire TOPTICA team in the coming years.”

TOPTICA today has 278 employees in 5 entities (TOPTICA Photonics AG, TOPTICA Projects GmbH, TOPTICA Photonics Inc., TOPTICA Photonics K.K. and eagleyard Photonics) with a consolidated group revenue of close to 60 M€. The lasers basically cover all wavelengths for major applications in quantum technologies, biophotonics and industrial metrology.
