As a proud sponsor of the APS 2018 Norman F. Ramsey Prize, TOPTICA would like to congratulate recipient Peter Zoller from Universität Innsbruck “For his pioneering theoretical work on quantum computation, communication, and simulation with trapped ions, atoms, and molecules. ”

Established in 2016 by The American Physical Society (APS)the Norman F. Ramsey Prize recognizes outstanding accomplishment in AMO Physics and Precision Tests of Fundamental Laws and Symmetries-both of which were fields that Ramsey himself excelled in.

TOPTICA Photonics is pleased to join in part with close family, friends and other industry partners as a main supporter of this award to honor Ramsey’s memory and his contributions to both the Precision Measurements and AMO communities.

“Congratulations Dr. Zoller and thank you for your contributions to our community, it continues to be an honor to be a part of the Norman F. Ramsey Prize. ” stated CEO Mark A. Tolbert.

This is the first year the prize will been awarded and will be presented during the Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (DAMOP) annual meeting in May.
