PTR-200 Series

PTR-200 is a comprehensive series of optical fiber recoaters and proof testers. A variety of product configurations allow the customer to choose among manual, extended length manual, or automatic recoat stations, and rotary or linear proof test stations. Vytran’s recoating products restore the protective acrylate or polyimide coating to a stripped section of fiber, resulting in a recoated section that is smooth and flexible, and virtually the same diameter as the original fiber. Our proof testers apply a set load at a controlled rate to an optical fiber or fusion splice, thus assuring the user of long-term fiber reliability.
