The annual Laser Focus World Executive Forum (formerly Lasers & Photonics Marketplace Seminar) has been a must-attend event for industry executives for 35 years. Produced by Laser Focus World in cooperation with SPIE and situated between SPIE’s major tradeshows, BiOS and Photonics West, the Executive Forum provided unit-level sales data, industry trend insights, and high-level networking opportunities for those in attendance. In more recent years as the market matured and consolidated, access to the sales data became increasingly complex and efforts to identify other sources or alternatives were unsuccessful. As a result, the decision has been made to cease production of the annual Executive Forum.
Many organizations have contributed to the longevity of the Executive Forum over the years; none more than SPIE and long-time platinum sponsor, Optimax. The Laser Focus World team is grateful for the long-term support of these two industry leaders as well as the many others who have sponsored, attended, and contributed to programming over the years. Looking ahead to an exciting future, the additional time and resources gained by this timely decision will enable Laser Focus World to continue focusing on its strengths and optimizing its value to readers and clients alike.
