Laser Components offers coating capability for fiber end faces

Dec. 13, 2019
Based upon assembly configuration, fibers can be processed with large bending radii or core diameters up to 1000 μm.

Coating of fiber end faces is offered with increased capacity and quantity. Based upon assembly configuration, fibers can be processed with large bending radii or core diameters up to 1000 μm. Use of a new ion source has improved the surface quality of these antireflective coatings. Depending on the coating and wavelength, backreflections from 0.5% to 0.2% are achieved.
