OZ Optics polarization controller/scrambler has utility in optical networks

May 15, 2020
An electrically operated Polarization Controller (EPC) has four birefringence transducers, each controlled by an analog input signal, installed along a fiber to change the polarization in orthogonal directions.

An electrically operated Polarization Controller (EPC) has four birefringence transducers, each controlled by an analog input signal, installed along a fiber to change the polarization in orthogonal directions. Designed for use in optical networks, PDL control, PMD compensation modules, and as polarization scramblers, transducer response speed is 30 kHz with a 1260-1650 nm range.
