Fiber light sources

Jan. 1, 1999
Stabilized fiberoptic light sources are available in a range of wavelengths and provide a stable and reproducible optical output. Units range from LEDs to spontaneous emission sources using laser-pumped erbium-doped fiber amplifiers. Output wavelengths include 850, 1310, and 1550 nm for in-band transmission testing and 1625 nm for out-of-band monitoring as well as sources for all the ITU DWDM channels.
