Fiber power monitor

Aug. 1, 1996
The Fiber Optic Power Monitor, Model 310, is an optical power meter integrated into a fiberoptic cable. The meter allows continuous readout of forward-propagating 1310-nm and 1550-nm power without interrupting the flow of energy. Power range is -50 dBm to +20 dBm, insertion loss is less than 1.2 dB, and battery life is more than three years. The device is for use in fiberoptic R&D laboratories and by field engineers.
