IFR Systems Inc. (Wichita, KS) has purchased York Technology Ltd. (Chandlers Ford, England) and York Technology Inc. (Princeton, NJ) from parent company and fiberoptic sensor manufacturer York Ltd. IFR Systems Inc. (Wichita, KS) has purchased York Technology Ltd. (Chandlers Ford, England) and York Technology Inc. (Princeton, NJ) from parent company and fiberoptic sensor manufacturer York Ltd. (Chandlers Ford, England) for $5.6 million. IFR Systems produces test instrumentation for communications and avionics, reporting sales of $76 million in FY1995. The newly acquired subsidiaries manufacture test instrumentation and fiberoptic pre¥tools for optical fiber and fiberoptic telecommunications networks. Along with existing IFR fiberoptic subsidiary Photon Kinetics (Beaverton, OR), they will be grouped under the IFR Photonics Division; all three will report to managing director Iain Robertson.
