The NanoGlue series are partly or fully automated production stations for alignment and assembly of optical devices with UV-curable resin. The linear axes work with 20 nm resolution, and angular rotation resolution is below 0.001° for maximum coupling efficiency. A machine vision system allows automation of loading and alignment.

PRESS RELEASE
NanoGlue aligns and glues Optical Devices with High Precision
The assembly of optical devices with UV curable resin is a common procedure. Especially in data and telecom industry devices need to be aligned precisely. The subsequent gluing and curing should not affect this position. Typical devices to be aligned are planar waveguides (splitter, modulators) with arrays of lenses, fibers, diode lasers or photodetectors.
The NanoGlue series are partly or fully automated production stations for these demanding alignment and assembly procedures. The linear axe work with 20 nm resolution, angular rotation resolution is below 0.001°. Maximum coupling efficiency is the result. Long travel ranges facilitate the loading and unloading procedures.
A powerful machine vision system allows automation of the loading and alignment procedure and supports the automated resin dispensation as well as the shuttle of the UV guides for the curing procedure.
