RARe Motheye optical fibers are built with randomized antireflective nanostructures for increased wavelength range and damage threshold.

RARe Motheye optical fibers are built with randomized antireflective nanostructures for increased wavelength range and damage threshold. The assemblies have a wavelength range of 400 to 2200 nm. Damage thresholds are close to bare fiber. They come in core sizes from 3 μm to 3 mm in silica core, silica clad, polymer-coated, or metal-coated construction.
