Space division multiplexer from CAILabs enables working with 6 and 10 spatial modes

Feb. 12, 2018
The Proteus-S space division multiplexer for telecommunications R&D controls the shape of light within optical fibers.

The Proteus-S space division multiplexer for telecommunications R&D controls the shape of light within optical fibers, thereby optimizing their capacity to transport information. It allows researchers to convert between conventional single-mode fibers and fibers that use spatial modes, and allows them to work with 6 and 10 spatial modes.
