ASE suppression filter has use in telecommunications

Jan. 6, 2025
The ASE Shield all-fiber filter uses advanced fiber Bragg grating technology.

The ASE Shield is an all-fiber filter that uses advanced fiber Bragg grating (FBG) technology to eliminate amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) at the source. It offers stopband attenuation loss >20 dB, stopband bandwidth of 5 to 40 nm, and 700- to 1800-nm stopband center wavelength. It can be used with processes like spectral combining, telecommunications, medical laser systems, and scientific research.
