The DFC7000 T digital CCD color camera from Leica Microsystems (Wetzlar, Germany) has uses in brightfield and fluorescence microscopy applications. Its 2.8 Mpixel architecture delivers high-resolution images while maintaining a wide dynamic range. If needed, the sensor can be switched to high-speed mode, delivering 40 frames/s full frame or up to 123 frames/s in 5 × 5 binning mode.
