The IK-HD5U high-definition (HD), 3-CMOS video camera from Toshiba's Imaging Systems Division (Irvine, CA) offers full-frame-rate HD output via USB 3.0. The progressive-scan 1080p/1080i camera features both DVI-D and USB 3.0 outputs, front-panel freeze-frame, and long exposure mode up to 1 s (60 frames). The camera is compatible with the company's IK-HD5H 3-CMOS camera head, which features a removable optical low pass filter (OLPF) for dual-mode imaging. Applications include brightfield and surgical microscopy, as well as other imaging applications that use fluorescence agents.
