Polygon scanner for bioimaging by Precision Laser Scanning

March 3, 2016
The Road Runner polygon scanner scans at 70,000 RPM for utility in bioimaging applications.

The Road Runner polygon scanner from Precision Laser Scanning (Scottsdale, AZ) scans at 70,000 RPM, and features a sealed optical window to eliminate noise and contamination. The scanner, which has uses in optical coherence tomography (OCT), microscopy, and ophthalmology, has a 72-facet polygon with an inscribed diameter of 2.5 in. and a 0.25 in. thickness. It is rated for 200,000 start/stop cycles or 50,000 hours.
