Scientific CMOS cameras for low-light microscopy by Photometrics
The Prime 95B scientific CMOS (sCMOS) camera from Photometrics (Tucson, AZ) delivers 95% quantum efficiency, and combines backside illumination technology with large pixels and low-noise characteristics to maximize light collection in low-light microscopy techniques such as single-molecule fluorescence, confocal imaging, and super-resolution microscopy. The camera captures images using the full microscope field of view at over 41 frames/s with 16-bit images and 82 frames/s with 12-bit images.
