The Slimline series UV transilluminator from Spectroline measures 29.2 × 35.6 × 5.7 cm, and delivers typical peak 312 nm intensity of 9000 mW/cm2 at the filter surface.

The Slimline series UV transilluminator from Spectroline (Westbury, NY) measures 29.2 × 35.6 × 5.7 cm, and delivers typical peak 312 nm intensity of 9000 mW/cm2 at the filter surface. A diffusing screen ensures light distribution and eliminates light striations caused by the contours of the tubes. The company's LONGLIFE filter glass claims to inhibit solarization up to 50 times longer than ordinary filters, and a hinged UV-blocking cover protects from UV radiation and shields the glass filter from damage. Applications for the transilluminator include visualization and photodocumentation of mini gels.
