• Laser attenuator and power splitter for multiphoton microscopy by Conoptics

The Model 201 laser attenuator/power splitter from Conoptics can split a Ti:sapphire laser beam into two distinct beams and control the power for each instance in applications such as multiphoton microscopy.

The Model 201 laser attenuator/power splitter from Conoptics (Danbury, CT) can split a Ti:sapphire laser beam into two distinct beams and control the power for each instance in applications such as multiphoton microscopy. A Glan polarizer with <4% insertion loss delivers an extinction ratio of >100,000:1, while the optics enable a fixed-angle escape port beam that does not change with wavelength variations. An internal achromatic half-waveplate is air-spaced to allow for increased power and lower dispersion.
