DELTA Optical Filters to show linear variable NIR bandpass filter at Strategies in Biophotonics 2014

Sept. 5, 2014
A linear variable near-infrared (NIR) bandpass filter with utility in spectroscopy applications has a wedged design with spectral properties that vary linearly along the one side.

A linear variable near-infrared (NIR) bandpass filter with utility in spectroscopy applications has a wedged design with spectral properties that vary linearly along the one side. Adjustment of the center wavelength by sliding the filter with respect to the incident light is possible. The filter can replace a number of dedicated filters in an instrument, and offer blocking levels better than OD 3 over the complete reflection range. By placing two of the filters in series, blocking levels rise to OD 5. The filter is coated on a single-quartz substrate for minimal autofluorescence and high laser damage threshold.
