The E-872 OEM driver for miniaturized piezo inertia positioning stages from PI (Physik Instrumente; Auburn, MA) has uses in precision optomechanical alignment, biomedical instrumentation, photonics alignment automation, microscopy, and micromanipulation. Step and direction input via TTL signals enables control, and 20 kHz full-step frequency delivers fast response. A version with 256 micro-steps allows for smooth motion with nanometer resolution.
