Laser ablation system

March 1, 1998
A UV laser ablation system is available for use with inductively coupled-plasma spectroscopy systems, which are used to determine trace metals in solids. The LSX-200 operates at 266 nm and provides a flat laser-beam profile in a 10-µm spot side. Software control allows the operator to store and recall a number of methods and allows examination of specific laser-ablated spots.
