Infrared radiator

March 1, 1997
Pulsed high-intensity infrared radiators can be used for gas analysis, spectroscopy, and calibration. The PulsIR radiators offer high emissivity at either 2-5 or 8-12 µm, using a 6x tungsten filament bulb. Radiator life is rated at more than three years when operated at 1 Hz, with a 10% duty cycle. Electrical pulsing eliminates the need for a chopper.
