TOPTICA hires Chris Haimberger as US Applications Specialist

Victor, NY--In his new role as US Applications Specialist at TOPTICA Photonics, Chris Haimberger will focus his time on customers.

Victor, NY--In his new role as US Applications Specialist at TOPTICA Photonics, a manufacturer of diode and ultrafast lasers and systems, Chris Haimberger will act on the scientific laser side for applications, service, and product marketing and will focus his time on customers, learn their applications, and support their research. He will be able to provide technical and sales support and will be able to interact directly with customers as needed in an advisory or hands-on role.

Chris Haimberger comes to TOPTICA from a career spent in the laser and photonics industry. During undergraduate work at Oregon State University, Haimberger interned at Electro Scientific Industries in Portland, OR. After receiving B.S. degrees in Physics and Engineering Physics, he worked at Cymer in San Diego, CA, contributing to manufacturing and engineering as well as customer relations and service. Finishing his graduate research at the University of Rochester, Haimberger received M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in physics and conducted research in ultra-cold molecular physics.

Haimberger also initiated several domestic and international collaborations, which are ongoing. He has been published in Physical Review Letters, Physical Review A, Journal of Physics B, Applied Physics B, Review of Scientific Instruments, and the New Journal of Physics. He received awards for undergraduate education as well as the Frank J. Horton fellowship from the Laboratory for Laser Energetics.
