ATFilms nabs Colorado Photonics Company of the Year award

Boulder, CO--The Colorado Photonics Industry Association (CPIA) has named optics and thin-film coating supplier Advanced Thin Films (ATFilms) as the 2011 Colorado Photonics Company of the Year.

Boulder, CO--The Colorado Photonics Industry Association (CPIA) has named optics and thin-film coating supplier Advanced Thin Films (ATFilms) as the 2011 Colorado Photonics Company of the Year. ATFilms president Ramin Lalezari accepted the award at the CPIA Annual Meeting held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011.

The CPIA bestows the Photonics Company of the Year award to the company or institution that it feels has contributed the most to the Colorado photonics industry over the preceding year. This 2011 winner, ATFilms, founded in Colorado in 2002, was selected from more than 200 companies in the aerospace, renewable energy, defense, life sciences, telecommunications, and electronics industries, all of which are involved in photonics technologies.

Lalezari notes that the company has had a successful year so far, beginning with the purchase by IDEX. He also notes that the company continually pushes the envelope to grow its design and manufacturing capabilities.
