Sylmar, CA - Laser Operations, manufacturer of the technology-leading line of high-powered QPC Lasers announced today the appointment of Vittorio Fossati-Bellani to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Fossati-Bellani, who has served as the Company’s Chief Marketing Officer since the beginning of this year, will commence his new duties immediately.
Dr. Fossati-Bellani is a veteran of the Laser industry, having spent 27 years at Coherent, where he held, among others, the positions of President of their Semiconductor Group and Chief Marketing Officer. Since leaving Coherent in 2006, he has been in various executive positions at DILAS and Pyrophotonics, as well as managing his own consulting business in the Laser and Photonics field.
Laser Operations also announced today that Robert Miller has joined the Company as Senior Director of Manufacturing, reporting to the CEO. Mr. Miller has significant experience in the Photonics industry and in other high tech industries, having held similar positions at Melles-Griot, Advanced Bionics, and Coherent.
