Wendelstein, Germany--Sill Optics' managing director Berndt Zingrebe will celebrate 30 years of commitment to the company as well as celebrate his 70th birthday on February 5. He has been serving in his current role since 1994.

In 2004 the company—which produces optical components and precision lenses—purchased binoculars and spotting scopes maker Optolyth Optik, whose production was relocated to Wendelstein with its remaining employees. Around the same time, Zingrebe earned the "Job Star" Award of the Nuremberg region in 2002 for his corporate management skills.

Since October 2011 the company has commissioned a further extension to its production facilities, yielding a production area of approximately 7500 m2, which will help to meet increasing customer needs.
