IPG Photonics welcomes Shawn Murphy as Southeastern regional sales manager

Nov. 27, 2010
Oxford, MA--IPG Photonics Corporation has appointed Shawn Murphy regional sales manager for the Southeastern US.

Oxford, MA--IPG Photonics Corporation, manufacturer of high-power fiber lasers and amplifiers, has appointed Mr. Shawn Murphy, an industry veteran with over 30 years in the industrial laser business, regional sales manager for the Southeastern US. Murphy has vast experience selling industrial lasers and systems to OEMs, integrators, and end users most recently with Electrox.

"I am excited to be joining such a forward thinking organization as IPG," said Murphy. "And I believe that our fiber lasers will continue to offer considerable benefits compared to older laser technologies. Fiber lasers have proven themselves in numerous applications in all industries and because of their reliability, high beam quality, high efficiency, small footprint, and lower total cost of ownership, they will continue to gain acceptance and increase market share. Fiber lasers have already become the tool of choice for many marking, welding, cutting, drilling, and cladding applications and as more companies become aware of their capabilities this will only increase."

Shawn can be reached directly at (910) 723-5167 or [email protected].
