Golden, CO--Formerly Ocean Thin Films, PIXELTEQ announced the addition of two semiconductor optics veterans to its management team to support its growing portfolio of OEM spectral filters, sensors, and imaging products. Stewart Feld is vice president of operations and Dave Fish is promoted to vice president of technology.

Feld, a PhD in electrical engineering, most recently led manufacturability improvements at a leading supplier of laser and photodiode products. As vice president of operations, he will lead the ongoing production and process improvements for PIXELTEQ’s exclusive micro-patterned coating technology on wafers and active devices. Feld has more than 15 years of experience in optical research labs and semiconductor manufacturing, beginning his professional career making advanced semiconductor lasers at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Feld has designed clean-rooms and managed operations for several semiconductor companies, holds five patents and has authored more than 30 technical publications.

Fish, a veteran senior electro-optic engineer at PIXELTEQ, has helped develop the company's SpectroCam and PixelCam spectral cameras, PixelSensor multiband photodiodes and numerous custom micro-patterned filter arrays and devices during the last two years. As vice president of technology, he will continue to innovate and expand on similar products. Throughout his 30-year engineering career, Fish held key technology roles at companies including Hughes-JVC Technology and IMED Corp.

"Dave and Stewart bring years of expertise to our team, and they'll collaborate closely with our customers at the design stage to deliver application-specific products," said Phil Buchsbaum, president of PIXELTEQ. The company applies micro-patterned spectral filters on glass and semiconductor wafers, helping OEMs shrink multiwavelength sensors into a single package or enable new optical features in semiconductor sensors. PIXELTEQ is a Halma company.
