ModBox-44Gb/s-DQPSK and ModBox-56Gb/s-DQPSK are turnkey optical transmitters and modulation units dedicated to digital QPSK transmission.

ModBox-44Gb/s-DQPSK and ModBox-56Gb/s-DQPSK are turnkey optical transmitters and modulation units dedicated to digital QPSK transmission. Nineteen-inch rack-mounted or bench-top units operate in the C and L bands. They generate a 22 to 44 Gb/s optical data stream from two customer-supplied electrical 22 Gb/s (resp. 28 Gb/s) data streams.

PRESS RELEASE

Photline Technologies introduces 44 Gb/s and 56 Gb/s DQPSK Transmitters and Modulation Units

ModBox-44Gb/s-DQPSK and ModBox-56Gb/s-DQPSK are turn-key optical Transmitters and Modulation Units dedicated to digital (D)QPSK transmission. The ModBoxes DQPSK are 19 ‘’ rackable or bench-top units and operate in the C and L band.

The units generate a 22 Gsymb/s - 44 Gb/s (respectively 28 Gsymb/s - 56 Gb/s) optical data stream from two customer supplied electrical 22 Gb/s (resp. 28 Gb/s) data streams, generated for instance by two PRBS generators. The resulting optical data stream features short rise and fall times, low jitter and wide opening. The ModBoxes-DQPSK can receive an optional laser source and an optical receiver with integrated demodulation stage.

The ModBoxes DQPSK offer multiple user settings and are primarily intended to be used as reference transmitters in laboratories and production test bed; they can be tailored to the specific requirements of the users.
