Achromatic beam-shaping optics from AdlOptica feature no internal focusing

June 30, 2011
Achromatic, refractive field-mapping beam shapers πShaper 6_6_NUV, πShaper 6_6_VIS, and πShaper 6_6_NIR are optimized to operate, correspondingly, in near-UV, visual, and near-IR spectral bands.

Achromatic, refractive field-mapping beam shapers πShaper 6_6_NUV, πShaper 6_6_VIS, and πShaper 6_6_NIR are optimized to operate, correspondingly, in near-UV, visual, and near-IR spectral bands. With nearly 100% efficiency, they convert a Gaussian laser beam into a flat-top beam, keeping a uniform intensity profile over a large working distance. Features include an achromatic design, flat output phase front, and no internal focusing.

PRESS RELEASE

Product Name: Achromatic Beam Shaping Optics πShaper 6_6

Text:
More than 7 years experience of developing beam shaping optics is concentrated in design of series of achromatic refractive field mapping beam shapers πShaper 6_6_NUV, πShaper 6_6_VIS, πShaper 6_6_NIR optimized to operate, correspondingly, in near-UV (335-560 nm), Visual (420-680 nm) and near-IR (1100-1700 nm) spectral bands. The πShaper 6_6 converts, with nearly 100% efficiency, a Gaussian laser beam into a flattop beam of low divergence with keeping a uniform intensity profile over large working distance. Achromatic design provides the same conditions of beam shaping at any wavelength of the working spectral band and allows using several lasers of different wavelengths simultaneously. Together with other features, like flat output phase front, no internal focusing, similar input and output beam sizes, compactness, the πShaper 6_6 systems present unique solutions in techniques of life science, scientific and industrial applications: Illumination in Confocal Microscopes, Flow Cytometry, various fluorescence techniques, Mass-Spectrometry, Holography, Micromachining and others.
