Holo/Or introduces multifocal diffractive optical element

Feb. 26, 2014
A multifocal diffractive optical element allows a single collimated beam to focus simultaneously at several focal lengths along an axis.

A multifocal diffractive optical element allows a single collimated beam to focus simultaneously at several focal lengths along an axis. The number of foci and their distance is determined during design. The element can be made on a window for general use, for a variety of working distances, or as a hybrid element on a plano-convex lens.
