Lambda Research has announced the early access release of TracePro 6.0, the newest version of its optomechanical design software. TracePro 6.0 is now x64 capable, allowing it to simulate larger systems using larger ray traces over spectral bands to investigate uniformity, solar, and color issues at higher fidelity. TracePro is the first optical raytracing product to break the Win32, x86 memory limits to give users the full advantage of x64 capability. The new release includes new analysis capabilities, including an interactive CIE plot showing color gamut, enhanced RepTile prism geometry, and solid concentrator constructors specifically designed for simulating solid CPCs for solar applications. TracePro's property dialog boxes have been redesigned for ease of use making them simpler, alphabetical and in a quick entry style.
