PRESS RELEASE

IRphotonics, a leading provider of advanced infrared fiber and materials, will showcase its latest II-V mid infrared fiber at this year DSS conference, April 13-17 in Orlando. With an extended spectral transmission from 0.4 to 5.5 µm, low attenuation and no spectral absorption peak, the II-V mid infrared fiber can lead to a wide variety of applications such as infrared countermeasure (IRCM) systems, chemical and temperature sensing, laser delivery medium and lightguide delivery cable for spectroscopy.

The II-V Mid-IR Fiber offers:
Spectral transmission from 0.4 to 5.5 µm
Low Attenuation with no significant Spectral Absorption Peaks up to 5.5 µm
Multimode fibers available (e.g. 100 µm core fiber)
Operating temperature: -20°C to 150°C
Numerical aperture: 0.10 to 0.25 (standard NA: 0.2)
Leading Low Loss IR Fiber
Extremely High Damage Threshold
High Strength

Ruben Burga, VP Sales for IRphotonics commented, "We're looking forward to showcasing our new II-V infrared fiber at this year's DSS expo. Initially developed for infrared countermeasure (IRCM) systems, the II-V fiber's extended spectral transmission from 0.4 to 5.5 µm makes it an excellent choice for a wide variety of applications such as chemical and temperature sensing, lightguide delivery cable for spectroscopy, as well as delivery medium for tunable Lasers, QCL lasers and more. "

IRphotonics unique expertise and patented manufacturing process gives the II-V fiber, outstanding optical, mechanical and environmental properties compared to other infrared fiber technologies.
