Dr. Mansoor Alam

Dr. Alam earned his B. E. in Metallurgy from the NED Engineering University, Pakistan, and his M. S. and Ph. D degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. He was associate professor of Materials Engineering at New Mexico Tech prior to joining Nufern as Senior Scientist in 2001. Presently, he is Director of the Nufern’s Sensor Business Unit in which capacity he is responsible for design, fabrication and marketing of a variety of optical fiber based sensors.
