Sheffield, England - The UK has a new part-marking service setup by Pryor Marking Technology. This service provides marking capability to those with specific requirements for either components or finished items with marks to relevant standards.

Mark Wardsworth, business development manager for Pryor, says, “We have developed this service in response to initial demand from suppliers to the aerospace market, where part identification and traceability has become a key requisite for any suppliers. However we believe that more and more engineering and manufacturing organizations are recognizing the value of unique identification (UID) and part traceability as part of their own drive towards better quality and a more sophisticated approach to management of process and production.”

Pryor has established a dedicated team to provide this service. Customers will determine the methods of marking, materials to be marked, commercial value, and how, when, and where the mark is going to be read later. Pryor can offer laser marking, 2D Data Matrix, and electrochemical solutions.
