Thedinghausen, Germany-At a time when many businesses are experiencing a decline in order volumes and decreasing profit margins, PS Laser GmbH & Co. KG boasts rising turnover volumes and continues to expand its customer base. At present, the company, with a total of 75 employees, serves nearly 2800 clients in Germany and elsewhere in Europe from different industries, including automotive and its suppliers, chemical, and food and food processing.

“We aim to strengthen our leading position in the German domestic market and expand our core competency in the field of laser cutting,” says Dipl.-Ing. Lutz Abram, who is responsible for sales and marketing at PS Laser. “We have specialized in laser cutting right from the start and attained a high level of quality and precision. By expanding the scope of possible applications and exploiting innovative technologies we continue to add new links to the added-value chain.”

In laser cutting alone, the company’s options include oxide-free laser cutting for stainless steel up to a thickness of 35 mm, high-speed laser cutting for thin metal sheeting, and burner cutting for thicknesses up to 25 mm, all up to 6.000 mm in length. Additionally, PS Laser offers precise and firmly shaped laser welds, high-performance CO2 laser processing at up to 8000W performance, product development based on laser processing techniques, and the development of industrial processing and serial manufacturing procedures.

The 6,500m2 facility is used 24 hours a day, in three-shifts and with a laser capacity of more than 55,000 W. The recent investment in high-performance laser cutting systems with digital linear direct drive has considerably enhanced the company’s capabilities in laser machining with tight tolerances at ultra-high speeds.

The company is hoping to raise its annual turnover above the 15 million Euros mark in 2005 and expand into international markets. For more information, visit www.ps-laser.de.
