Sarin Technologies has launched a new laser sawing, cutting, and shaping product for the diamond industry based on proprietary technology and the latest in green laser technology.

The development of this high-tech, state-of-the-art machine was enabled by Sarin's having acquired the intellectual property from CNC Laser, an Antwerp-based manufacturer of laser sawing, cutting, and shaping machines for the diamond industry.

The use of a green laser as opposed to the traditional red lasers used in the industry ensures, among other things, minimal breakage and weight loss on the cut or sawn stone. Other unique advantages of the product are that it can saw through "tension stones," which are especially prone to damage during any type of processing be it mechanical or laser.

Reportedly, the new product also provides an efficient and direct link to Sarin's rough planning machine DiaExpertwhich works with the company's laser marker DiaMark-Zand Advisor softwareadvanced and user friendly software for computerized mapping, analysis, and laser marking of rough diamonds.

"The acquisition of CNC Laser's intellectual property is in keeping with Sarin's mission to provide the diamond industry with comprehensive technological solutions from planning to production, thus helping manufacturers to maximize profit," comments Sarin CEO Zeev Leshem. "The new product is expected to have a significant and positive impact on Sarin's sales in 2006 and will bolster Sarin's position as a leader in planning, analyzing, and manufacturing technologies."

"Since signing the initial agreement with CNC over a year ago, they have been finalizing the development of the product and conducting beta sites around the world. Now the product is ready and we're taking advance orders in preparation for shipping, which will commence on Q4 of 2005."

Israel-based Sarin Technologies, established in 1989, develops and manufactures advanced planning, evaluation, and measurement systems for diamond and gemstone production. Sarin products include cut grading tools, rough diamond optimization systems, gemology tools, diamond color grading, and laser marking machines.

Sarin products assist the diamond dealer, manufacturer, retailer, and gemologist in making the right decision, maximizing profits, and minimizing errors by providing diamond measurements and polishing suggestions.
