Yate, Bristol, England - SSC Laser has opened a factory in Yate that specializes in flat and tube laser cutting. The company invested $1.5 million (£1 million) in the 18,000-sq-ft. facility on Stover Trading Estate.
"We're really excited about the investment that the company has made in the region, considering that it has only been established in this area since 2012," says Ben Cliss, sales manager for the South West. "The past two years have seen massive growth, and we are very grateful to our customers for their support in helping us to grow our business so quickly."
"The Bristol team have done a fantastic job in getting SSC Laser established in the South West so quickly," says sales director Andy Evans. "It's only fair to set them up in their own factory with the very latest laser cutting technology."
A brand-new Bystronic ByAutonom 6kW flat-bed laser was delivered to the factory on December 1, 2014, along with an Amada press brake.
SSC Laser, which has its head office in Staffordshire, was established in 2000 and now has six sites in the UK. The company employs 60 people and is planning further expansion in 2015. For more information, please visit www.steelservicecentre.co.uk.
