3D printing provider Concept Laser's sales increase in first-half 2016
Concept Laser (Lichtenfels, Germany), which provides machine and plant technology for 3D printing metal components, reports that the company's first-half 2016 sales increased 88% over the same period the previous year. The company says industrial series production has taken hold in sectors such as aerospace and medical technology, which are increasingly committing to 3D printing.
Frank Herzog, president and CEO of the company, says this growth is supported by service providers that are upgrading their machines and installations, enabling them to meet the demands for additively manufactured parts made from metal. This growth has increased the number of employees to 196, and they expect to exceed their target for the second half of 2016.
