Industrial high-power fiber lasers

Aug. 29, 2016
The QUBE kilowatt continuous-wave industrial fiber lasers are available in 500W, 1kW, 1.5kW, 3kW, 4.5kW, and 6kW powers.

The QUBE kilowatt continuous-wave industrial fiber lasers from SPI Lasers (Southampton, Hampshire, England) are available in 500W, 1kW, 1.5kW, 3kW, 4.5kW, and 6kW powers, and require only electrical power and water connection. The lasers collect and analyze light reflected back from the cutting process to provide a PLC-compatible control signal that changes state within milliseconds of the sheet being pierced, allowing the cutting machine to begin its task in a much shorter time window. The lower-power (500W to 1.5kW) versions are available with multimode or single-mode output fiber, and have utility in metal additive manufacturing processes and other high-precision applications.
