Industrial Laser Solutions is only halfway through the 2016 editorial year, but it is time to begin planning for the 2017 Editorial Calendar—so this is a call to ILS subscribers in the more than 150 countries that read the magazine and visit us online at www.industrial-lasers.com. A third of our readers are located outside North America (15% in Asia, 12% in Europe, and 7% in the Rest of the World [ROW]).
In the last 10 issues of ILS, more than half of the contributed feature articles came from authors in the US, with the remainder mostly from Europe. The majority of the authors were selected by me, with the assistance of the ILS Editorial Advisory Board.
In 2017, as the only global publication focusing exclusively on industrial laser materials processing, I would like to expand editorial contributions from Asia and ROW countries.
This blog is read in more than half the countries outside the US, with India, South Korea, China, and Taiwan among the leading countries—so this message is directed toward industrial laser process developers and users in these countries. If you are using industrial lasers in a manufacturing application and are willing to share your experience with ILS readers globally, send me ([email protected]) a brief summary for consideration as a feature article in an issue of ILS in 2017.
