High-power beam transformation system

A high-power beam transformation system (BTS) can be used to both couple laser light into a circular fiber and produce a free laser beam.

A high-power beam transformation system (BTS) from LIMO Lissotschenko Mikrooptik (Dortmund, Germany) can be used to both couple laser light into a circular fiber and produce a free laser beam. The system features the company's FAC160 fast axis collimator (which is optimized for short focal lengths) and a diagonal lens array for a 90° rotation of the laser beam. Preassembled on a glass block (bottom tab) and with a 200 or 400µm pitch, the system can couple up to 50 emitters with an output of approximately 250–500W/bar and a 50% fill factor.
