Laser cutting and forming company PAB Coventry (Coventry, West Midlands, England) has commissioned a Prima Power Platino 2.0 fiber laser cutting machine that will increase the capacity of their workshop, which already operates a twin-station, 5-axis Prima system. The new fiber laser system was selected because of its faster cutting speeds and its ability to produce intricate cutting shapes. The company is seeing an increase in demand for super car grill requirements, and the advanced capabilities of the fiber laser made this piece of equipment the ideal choice.
"The addition of this new laser to our workshop increases our manufacturing capacity and enables us to take on more super car projects," explains Mark Brazier, managing director at PAB Coventry. "We work closely with a number of high-end automotive companies and we are looking at expanding this market in 2016. This investment will allow us to take advantage of more opportunities in 2016."
