Laser micromachining specialist 3D-Micromac establishes China subsidiary

3D-Micromac AG, which specializes in laser micromachining, has established a subsidiary in Wuxi, China.

3D-Micromac AG (Chemnitz, Germany), which specializes in laser micromachining, has established a subsidiary in Wuxi, China. The company will do business under the name of 3D-Micromac Laser Technology (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., and Dr. Roland Giesen, COO of 3D-Micromac AG, will serve as director.

The main focus of the new subsidiary is the sales of laser systems in the Asian market. It will also be responsible for production, commissioning, shipping, warranty, and service of the company's microCELL laser systems. The machines will be produced in close cooperation with strong local partners. This guarantees immediate commencement of production without any start-up phase. Moreover, the subsidiary's demo systems will make it possible to demonstrate the process in industrial conditions.

With this strategically important step, the company is responding to current market conditions. It especially ensures close proximity to the customers. In addition, customer needs regarding speed of delivery, reaction times by local support staff, and availability of spare parts will be answered.
