Laser Research Optics (Providence, RI) has introduced a line of replacement copper CO2 laser nozzles that optimize cutting accuracy in Mitsubishi and TRUMPF lasers. They feature ±10µm orifice accuracy to direct the laser beam, are compatible with mechanical or sensor heads, and are available in 1.5 and 2.0mm orifice sizes. Available with straight and tapered tips from 0.375 to 0.96in. long, the cylindrically configurated nozzles have use in low-pressure cutting with oxygen, while the conical types are recommended for high-pressure nitrogen or argon cutting.
