Jenoptik will present its JenLas fiber cw 1000 fiber laser at Photonics West.

Jena, Germany -Jenoptik will introduce the JenLas fiber cw 1000 fiber laser at Photonics West in San Francisco on Feb. 5-7, 2013.

JenLas® fiber cw 1000 W provides powerful CW fiber lasers with modulation rates of up to 5 kHz. They emit at power levels up to 1000 W with an beam quality of M2 <1.2 This makes them suitable for applications, e.g., laser cutting applications with excellent cutting edge qualities as well as laser welding applications with high welding depth. The OEM systems with its compact 19-inch design are suitable for integration into devices as well as for stand-alone-use.

Applications include traditional cutting or welding jobs and other nontraditional ones such as marking, drilling, or tempering. Compared to established laser systems, fiber laser systems perform with extremely high efficiency. In addition to valuable energy, they also save space at low cost of ownership, says the company.
