nLIGHT appoints director of fiber laser product development

Dahv Kliner began his career in fiber lasers more than 15 years ago.

Vancouver, WA - nLIGHT Corp. has hired Dahv Kliner as director of fiber laser product development. Kliner most recently led the commercial kW fiber laser program at JDSU.

High-power laser provider NLight recently purchased Arbor Photonics.

Prior to JDSU, Kliner headed Sandia National Laboratories' fiber laser program and developed pulsed fiber lasers for a variety of applications.

Kliner received his PhD at Stanford University and performed postdoctoral research at the University of Minnesota and at Harvard University. He began his career in fiber lasers more than 15 years ago and has developed key enabling technologies for both pulsed and continuous-wave fiber sources.
